Clinical waste has become one of the largest financial and environmental costs for hospitals, costing £373 million a year and being responsible for up to 5.4% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions.

With clinical waste being one of the biggest financial and environmental problems for the NHS, Curo aims to revolutionise how the NHS manages and disposes it. This strategy could generate 54 million kW of energy and save the NHS £200 million every year.

Recycle Week 2022 is here and the theme is ‘Let’s get real about recycling’. This year’s theme aims to challenge perceptions and myths around recycling and target contamination to improve recycling behaviours.
